Project “1 Year On” Saskatoon

Ohhhhh Saskatoon. While commuting via bus from Edmonton I was reading my Lonely Planet guide and it described Saskatoon as the Paris of the Prairies. Having been to Paris I thought it was a bit of a stretch. Luckily so did my Sasky friends haha. The visit was only short but sweet. I had a great time with fellow traveller Michelle who showed me around her home town. I count my blessings everyday that I was in town for the "Original Sidewalk Sale". Picked up some tasty treats and bought a new journal. It doesn't get much better than that.

Cheers

Project “1 Year On” The Calgary Stampede

Road into the town of Calgary conveniently during the Stampede; Claimed to be the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth. The town was full of dressed up cowboys and cowgirls so I was left with no option but to pick up my very own cowboy hat, belt and a few other accessories so I could join in the party. I have never seen a city get so into a festival before. I made my way into the Stampede grounds and got tickets to see the rodeo, a very impressive show that I highly recommend going to see. Basically its cowboys and cowgirls showing off their skills and competing to be the top of their chosen field. While risking their lives to do so!

The weather on this particular day was unpredictable to say the least, it would go from sunny to raining to hail and back to sunny again within a matter of minutes. Which left people ducking for cover and running all over the grounds, a perfect opportunity for me to get some interesting shots. So enjoy :)

Cheers
