A life in transit - Taipei

There aren't too many things in life that I enjoy more than a flight layover in a new city or country where you have enough time to head downtown. This time I found myself with 20 hours in Taipei, Taiwan. If you ever get the chance to go here, hit up Taipei 101 (2nd tallest building in the world) and a book store down the road called Eslite. It's open 24 hours a day and is the largest bookstore in Taiwan. It also has incredible boutique shops where items are sold that you will not find anywhere else in the world. So bring your wallet.

The streets in and around Taipei 101 are clean cut and very international. You have to wander a little further to find the real street level where English isn't on every billboard. It's worth the trek, you will be rewarded with more traditional food and even cheaper clothing.

I will be flying back through here twice in October this year. So more photos to come from the exciting land of Taipei :)
